We love what we do and love the opportunity that birth brings to peoples lives. Birth can be such an empowering life event. As midwives we want to help make this experience fulfilling and unique to you.
We each entered the profession of midwifery through direct entry midwifery schools. We are both Nationally Certified and Vermont licensed. Peggy has been a primary midwife since 1994 and Emily, since 2005. We work so well together because we share the same philosophy that pregnancy and birth are safe and natural. A woman does best with compassionate support, careful monitoring and appropriate assistance. That pretty much sums up the work we do.
We have an office in Burlington where we have our visits. The area we serve is anywhere within a 1 ½ hour drive of Burlington.
We enjoy sharing current information with families and helping them learn and grow throughout our time together. We also pride ourselves in our ability to network with other providers and community supporters (i.e. prenatal yoga, massage therapists, childbirth classes…). It’s our hope that everyone coming through our care can look back and say “That was great! We felt so well taken care of and supported during the birth of our baby.”
