I arrived in Vermont in autumn of 1997 and have been serving the homebirth community ever since. I am a Vermont Licensed Midwife, and nationally, a Certified Professional Midwife. I have been in practice since 1994 learning midwifery from a direct-entry apprenticeship as well as more formal workshops, programs, etc. I work with apprentices, and other midwives when needed, in order to provide you with the care that you need and deserve.

By deciding to have a home birth parents are demonstrating a willingness to take responsibility for their own bodies, their pregnancies and their babies. It is your birth; it is your responsibility and your experience.
If you are in good health, eat well, get adequate exercise and do not have any health contraindications to home birth then in all probability you will be able to enjoy a safe, joyous homebirth.  Birth, like all of life, carries risks; birth is not absolutely safe any place. We can offer no guarantees of a homebirth, but we believe in women’s bodies and that birth can be trusted. We do all we can do to support you and a natural birth process.

We offer you  hour long prenatal visits throughout your pregnancy, dietary recommendations, counseling, birth education, sibling preparatory materials, breastfeeding education, counseling, and support, homebirth, waterbirth, doula services for in or out of hospital birth, one prenatal home visit, two to three postpartum home visits, and a six week postpartum visit. There are many other extra services that we regularly offer. Please inquire.

When you have done all you can, relax, and have confidence in the innate power of woman and nature.
