Erin Ryan and Katherine Bramhall have been attending births together for 2 years. We view birth as a safe and natural process. We honor that every woman’s journey to motherhood is unique to her experience. We understand that it is your birth and your baby therefore we believe it is our duty to provide our clients with information and support to make decisions that you are most comfortable with.
Katherine Bramhall, CPM. LM graduated from Birthwise Midwifery School in Bridgton, Maine in October 2007. Prior to working as a midwife, she worked as a Professional Labor Assistant and Holistic Health and Polarity Practitioner in the Boston area for 22 years with a primary focus on whole-family health in the childbearing years. Along with her midwifery practice in central Vermont, Katherine currently works with Robin Lim in Indonesia 2 months out of the year, to provide maternal and child health services in Bali, Indonesia and in Aceh, Indonesia. She has 2 grown daughters and has learned most of what she knows from them. Katherine delivered her first daughter 26 years ago via a medically necessary cesarean birth after a trial of labor - midwife and husband in attendance - followed by the birth of her 2nd daughter via VBAC 13 months later.
Erin Ryan is a Licensed Midwife whose education consists of academic studies and hands on training at settings including home, birth centers and hospitals. She is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and the National Midwifery Institute and practiced in California in homebirth settings for 4 years. Erin has been licensed and practicing in Vermont since 2001. She has learned and continues to learn from birth, mothers, midwives and her participation in continuing education as well as peer review. Erin has 3 beautiful sons, all born at home.
